The 100 Club unites 100 people committed to supporting READ Foundation in building one new school each year for children in underprivileged and underserved communities in Pakistan. Through education, we empower communities and nurture the potential of future leaders.
Education in Pakistan, especially in remote areas, faces challenges with a significant number of children out of school. Punjab, where the project is located, has the highest number of out-of-school children in Pakistan. The existing schools in the region are insufficient, forcing girls to travel far for education. The new school will help reduce this barrier by providing a local, secure, and strong learning environment.
The school will offer quality education to up to 250 children each year, fostering peace, tolerance, life skills, and ethical values under the guidance of qualified teachers. In the long term, it aims to improve socio-economic participation, health, and welfare of the families, enhance students' interpersonal skills, and provide better livelihood opportunities, leading to economic growth and increased literacy rates in the region.

The 100 Club directly and indirectly benefits local communities by supporting sustainable development and creating employment opportunities in the construction and operation of these schools.
READ Foundation UK, in partnership with READ Foundation Pakistan, will implement the project. READ PK has a strong presence in Pakistan with 400 schools, supporting 118,000 students and 13,000 orphans. It has experience in constructing schools, with 27 ongoing projects and a history of over 75 schools completed in the last four years.
The proposed school aims to address the shortage of schools for girls in Butter, a village in Kharian, Gujrat, Punjab. Currently, there are only two government schools for girls in the area, one primary and one high school. The proposal includes building a purpose-built READ Foundation Girls Primary School, with the possibility of expanding to a high school in the future. The school will start with spacious classrooms, staff offices, and toilets, initially accommodating 250 children.
